The Walk About Resort was established circa 1949 and is one of a few oceanfront properties on Hollywood Beach developed in the Art Deco style.

Hollywood Beach is considered one of the premier ocean destinations in the world. The city of Hollywood provides twenty-one lifeguard towers and eight first-aid stations in operation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during other seasons.
